1805 Columbia Valley wine

Sushi and wine tasting might not be a combination that you automatically think of but Chicago’s award-winning Hot Woks Sushi Cool Sushi is noted for innovation. The restaurant hosts an exclusive wine tasting and launch party on Friday, January 20 from 5:30-10:30 PM.

Located in the shadow of the soaring Willis Tower, Hot Woks  Cool Sushi has cultivated a popular following in the city with signature sushi rolls like Obama-nami (made of diverse ingredients including unagi, avocado, smoked salmon and cream cheese) and Mega-Vega ( a mix of tempura sweet potato and broccoli, beets, cucumbers, wasabi mayo). Hot Woks launches the new 1805 Columbia Valley wines  from Geyser Peaks Wineries on Friday with an exclusive wine tasting party. The new wines from Columbia Valley Washington will be carried exclusively by Hot Woks Cool Sushi for six months. Special introductory  wine pricing at the launch is $5 a glass and $20 per bottle. In addition to the wine and sushi, live music will be provided by noted jazz singer Anne Burnell  and jazz trio Absolute Music. Burnell’s velvet voiced renderings of jazz classics will provide the perfect backdrop for sushi and sipping.  Reservations are recommended.
