Although they're not cheap at $49 per adult, a relaxed paddle in an inflatable canoe may be one of Santa Rosa's best days out. This is the least crowded part of the Russian River, and the best part to see birds. It makes a great family outing (children and infants $24), and you can even bring your dog ($10). Guides are also available for hire. Pack your own lunch and eat on the banks of the river, or even on board!
